About the project
Mine Piano is a client-side Fabric mod that adds a playable virtual piano directly to Minecraft. Unlike simple note-block based implementations, the mod uses its own SoundFont sampler for real-time instrument playback. It supports keyboard, mouse and MIDI input, including note velocity and sustain pedal control. The piano includes multiple instrument presets and can optionally mix its audio into Simple Voice Chat, allowing nearby players to hear the performance through the game's existing proximity voice system. The audio engine runs at 48 kHz with low-latency block processing and is designed to avoid allocations during playback for stable real-time performance.
